You can also use 8.8 oz [https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cmpages/rutan.php 7725] Bidirectional 2x2 Twill. 7781 will make smoother surfaces and conform easier to uneven surfaces, however 7725 is less prone to fray along the edges during handling.
