Fiberglass / Fairings: Difference between revisions

* Make a paper template of the layup and cut the fiberglass an inch larger than the template. Use a large zip lock bag and cut it open. Put your glass and resin (on top of the glass and in the middle) inside. Use a rubber roller from the outside of the bag and spread the resin towards the edges until the fiberglass is all transparent and no excess resin on top of the fiberglass. Put your paper template on top of the bag and cut through the entire stack with a rotary cutter around the paper template. Peel one side of the bag off, install the layup part, peel off the other side of the bag, put peel ply on top and pad it down.
