- The Naca vent that ships with the kit is a single piece consisting of the Naca vent itself and a glued-on rear extension that holds the eyeball vent outlet. For the stock panel, this is suitable as is, but for aftermarket panels with integrated support for a fresh air vent, you will need to cut the extension off and attach a duct tube. See the instructions for those aftermarket panels.
- When roughing up the skin in preparation for gluing the Naca vent in using tank sealant, take note that the glue contact area does not follow the opening of the skin all the way around. Towards the rear, the Naca vent extends, so mark the area up using the vent's outline.
- For stock panels, the needed closable eyeball vents are not part of the kit, consider ordering Van's part no "SV-6 Aluminum Air Vent". It comes in silver (clear) and black. You will need #8 bolts / washers / lock-nuts to mount them. Vans also offers a plastic version.
- Debris or insects may be blown into the cabin through the front fresh-air vents. Consider gluing in a piece of hardware cloth to filter the air stream.
