- Some older RV-10s are showing cracks in the landing gear mount, see above drawings. Van's sent out a request to inspect the parts, see SL-00033.
- If cracks are present, Vans will provide the SB-00007 document and allow purchase of the new weldment (WD-01021-L-1 WD-01021-R-1).
- The new landing gear mount needs widened holes in the main wing spar. The new part no longer has a strut coming out towards the front.
- Some fuse slow build kits delivered as recent as early 2022 had the new WD-01021-L/R-1 parts but don't have the spar changes done. These kits came with the SB-0007 service bulletin to allow making the changes.
- If your fuselage kit came with the old style, there is no need to upgrade, keep on building. The change was made in case there would be more planes affected but so far, no issues reported.
- True for the entire Wiki: In case of doubt, check with Vans directly, don't rely on this Wiki.
