Current Sensors: Difference between revisions

Garmin recommends the Amploc Key100 sensor. Reportedly, Dynon also recommends it. GRT sells the Key100 sensor as CS-01 ($89, includes cable though)<br>

Shunts need 1A inline fuses for each of the two current sensor connectors, Hall effect sensors do not.<br>[https://amploc.com/products/key100-open-loop-hall-effect-sensor AMPLOC KEY100 Current Sensor]<br>[[File:2023-03-27 16-03-50.jpg|367x367px]]<br>The Key100 sensor doesn't really have a proper Molex connector, rather it has 3 gold pins that are cut off a wire-wrap pin-header strip plus a plastic glued on that makes it asymmetric for Molex connectors. You need to cut off one of the protruding keys on the Molex connector to make it fit. You also want to scrape off the ledge at the bottom if it is binding there.<br>
