Ordering Hints
- If you intend to add P-Mag electronic ignition(s) after receiving a Thunderbolt engine, you probably ordered the engine without ignition. This means, the engine will not have the generic thrust couplings in place that mags (including P-Mags / E-Mags) need. Make sure, they ship you the couplings with the engine (they call it the "dog bones"). See this FB thread. The "dog bones" should be free, but there is confusion about this.
If you go with SDS or EFII electronic ignition, the "dog bones" are not needed. The mag openings get permanently closed with a cover. No mechanics involved with those.
