* Vans has upgraded the flap motor mid 2022 to a model that has an analog voltage output compatible with modern avionics. A position sensor is not needed.
* Ray Allen makes the "POS-12" flap position sensor which is needed for the older flap motors. It interfaces to either the VPX, the Garmin GAD-27 or Dynon electronics.

* Vans sells a [https://store.vansaircraft.com/rv-10-flap-positioning-system-es-flap-pos-swv-10.html flap position sensor kit], however it is not sensing the continuous flap deployment angle, rather it is a set of switches that close at specific positions. This sensor is not compatible with modern avionics which need an analog voltage input. Not a recommended solution.
