Larger Oil Cooler
* Airflow Systems 2007X Oil Cooler
* Spacers and bolts (consider using there, not sure if they are absolutely needed)<br>Note: the kit contains three longer bolts for the upper holes (use thick washers) and three slightly shorter bolts for the lower holes (use thin washers).
* The larger oil cooler is taller. Add an angle bracket to the top for the top line of holes. Enlarge the cut-out of the Van's oil cooler bracket to utilize the topmost part of the oil cooler.
*The upper forward flange needs to be trimmed to the inside of the most inner hole for the engine mount.<br>
*The bottom outside hole needs to be fastened with a short AN3-4 bolt as a long bolt will not pass the engine mount.
* See also Ryan's video (Note: if you install a turning vane, leave enough room between the vane and the firewall so you are not restricting the air-flow to the lower half of the oil cooler. Also, vanes should have their surface parallel to the incoming and the outgoing air-flow and the bend should be smooth / rounded.)
*Airflow Systems has two documents relating to the installation (not available here, check their web site or email them):
**RV-10-2007X-Install-Rev-A.pdf (how to install the larger oil cooler)
**Turning-Vane-Installation-inst.pdf (how to install a turning vane that splits the air-flow in half and directs it to the upper/lower half of the oil cooler independently)

Damper
The engine-side oil temperature thermostat (vernatherm) opens at some 170F (measured at the port towards the oil cooler). At high altitude or in winter months, the oil cooler may cool down the oil too much (e.g. to 140F). Consider installing a damper that controls the air flow into the oil cooler. As a side effect, the cylinder heads get more cooling if the damper is restricting the flow through the oil cooler.
*The cable can be connected to the lever using a Cable End B-Nut (Part# 05-16210).

Hitch123: update AS Flightlines link

* Andair provides highly customizable fuel valves. You need one if your electronic injection needs a fuel return line. Currently shipping orders from 9 months back.

For installation hints, see als Armrest Installation Hints.
Notes
* The stock Van's valve switches one path (from one of the tanks to the mechanical fuel pump). For engines with injectors that have a return line, you need to switch the additional return line back to the selected tank.
* Andair has some select models available through Aircraft Spruce but probably not the one you need for the RV-10. The company is in England and you need to order custom valves through email [mailto:andair@andair.co.uk]
* If you are going with AS Flightlines for ready-made fuel lines, they will tell you which exact variant you need to order from Andair. E.g. for injection systems that need a return line, you need to order "EFS20-20-D2-TMT Duplex Extension Valve" ("4 EF20 elbows on the wing ports and 2 MF20 fittings on the discharge/return ports on the valve front."). You will also need the "6" extension kit" (4 holes in the Fascia plate) which means the fascia plate can come off when you need access to the tunnel.
* Andair has long lead times, plan many months ahead.
* The Andair valve has different hole patterns than the stock valve. Common practice is to make a doubler plate that has the right holes for the valve plus additional holes to mount to the stock bracket that stays underneath. See also Aerosport_Hints.
* Andair has different ways to extend the shaft up to the top of the tunnel. You need to order what they call the "extension kit", not just the extension option of the valve itself.
* Andair says on their website that the 20-20 model is only good up to 200 hp. TS flightlines says otherwise. All RV-10 that they know of use the 20-20 model and it's been verified to let through 80 gph.
* The valve is commonly shipped with the ports not bolted down. You need Loctite 648 for the assembly (not available at Home Depot, Lowes or auto stores, order it online ahead of time).
